Recipe: Biryani


Looking through our online grocery but still need inspiration on what to cook? Well, here’s a quick Biryani recipe that you can follow and find the ingredients on GraciousMart.



  1. In a pan, heat oil and fry onions until golden-brown.

  2. Add the meat, biryani mix and stir fry for about 5 minutes

  3. Add water (4 cups for beef, 2 cups for chicken) and yoghurt 

  4. Cover and leave it to cook under low heat until meat becomes tender

  5. Add in tomatoes and stir fry the ingredients on high heat until the oil separates from the gravy

  6. For the rice, add 3 liters of boiling water, 3 tablespoon of salt, soak the rice and leave it till it is ¾ cooked. 

  7. Once drained, place half of the rice in a pot and pour the meat curry over. Add the remaining rice at the top before garnishing fresh coriander and mint leaves on it. 

  8. Cover and leave it to cook on low heat again until rice is properly cooked.

  9. Mix well before serving.
